  1. I don’t like the word depression either but I don’t see myself as ‘wired differently’ nor as having an ‘illness’ that has gripped m’. I see it more as emotional/ mental ‘injury’, the lasting impact of certain events in my life that may indeed have affected my ‘neurochemicals’ but , for me, the roots lie in my life’s experiences and circumstances .Where these are linked to the kind of social, political and cultural society we may live in healing our wounds is no easy matter
